I want to remind you about an important upcoming event that could affect the direction and organization of our club. The monthly board members meeting will be held this Tuesday night, 24 March at 6:30 PM at 4609 Rothwell Court, Virginia Beach, VA (it's the community clubhouse for Belinda Traber's community). Why am I reminding you about this particular meeting? If you aren't a regular in the VBPC web forums, you probably aren't aware of a discussion brought up by one of our members concerning the club's bylaws. The discussion has generated a lot of interest, and most likely decisions will be made at this coming board meeting to either change (or not change) the way we do business. There have been several proposals in that discussion thread already, and we will discuss them all at that meeting. To illustrate the impact that these decisions may have, we may be deciding to hold an election at an upcoming meeting to elect more voting officers for the club. We may be deciding on adding voting officers from the regular members. The point is, serious decisions will be made. If you want to be a part of this, you are welcome to join us at this meeting.

I want to emphasize that I am very excited about this renewed interest in the management and organization of the club. I would love to see more members get involved with the club. I think many of the suggestions presented in the discussion thread are great ideas, and I sincerely hope that we can implement some of them. But this is your club as much as it is mine, so we need to hear what you think.
If you have the time, I believe you will find this meeting very satisfying and worthy of taking the time out of your busy schedules. Your presence could shape the future of our club for a long time. I do ask that you let me know that you intend to come by emailing me at skip.morrow.mobile@gmail.com. Even if you don't email me ahead of time, you are still welcome. But I would like to know if we are going to overflow Belinda's clubhouse! I wouldn't want you standing outside. Also, if you plan on proposing something at the meeting, then I would strongly encourage you to email me ahead of time with your written proposal. It gives me and the board a chance to read your proposal ahead of time, and possibly hold some early discussions to make the meeting go more smoothly. Again, not a requirement, it's only a request. The bottom line is, all members are always welcome at all board meetings.
I have not been good about advertising the board meetings, but from now on they will be in the "Compact Flash".
